I was involved in an accident caused by another driver insured by Viking last year. The driver who caused the accident was not on the policy at the time of the accident but was added onto the policy after the fact. My car was deemed a total loss even though it had a great deal of sentimental value to me. The at fault driver attempted to pretend he didn't know what insurance was and tried to leave the scene of the accident, resulting in me having to call the police.

Viking is a joke an insurance company, clearly in the business of insuring bad drivers who cause accidents. Please keep your terrible auto insurance out of Oregon. Your reps are rude and your insured parties are terrible at driving. Not to mention you cover for illegal, dangerous driving and insure motorists who shouldn't be allowed to drive, like the kid who ruined my car.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Terrible response time with horrible customer service. On June 3rd 2022 I was sideswiped by one of their customers. It was a hit and skip. Now, today is July 14th 2022 and nothing has been resolved. I tried to call customer service I left a message for someone to call me back. When I got the call back I was told that they have no official statement from the driver and are unable to fix the damage to my vehicle because there were no Witnesses and this is a "he said, she said" situation. I asked her why they have not contacted the businesses that are on that street where she hit my car to get their camera footage and basically got another excuse. I guess I will have to do her job for her. This insurance company is horrible. I would not recommend them to anyone.

If you want personal, outstanding isnurance coverage, speaking with actual people who care about your well being , answer the phone, always return calls and emails and know the insurance industry inside and out, Viking is the best!!! My parents started using Viking Insurance, an independant insurance 'mom and pop', company in the early 1970's and our family has been delighted with their amazing service for Auto, Home, and Umbrella. I started using them for Auto ins. when I learned to drive in in the mid-70's, and later for homeowners ins. Lou is personable, dilignet and knowledgable about all aspects of the insurance company and in my experience, is a trusted insurance agent and has become a trusted friend.

Terrible customer service. I would not recommend buying insurance from this company and pray you don’t get into a car accident with someone they insure. Payment will drag and their favorite line is “ we can not give you an exact date.” How hard is it for an insurance company to get a hold of the insurer? Seems to be very hard for Viking. Hey Viking, I suggest you cancel their policy and see if that will get their attention. Seems pretty simple to me but I guess since Viking doesn’t want to pay what’s the rush in getting a hold of their insurer.

I had coverage and they said I lived with my mom who car was crashed but I don’t I live 400 miles away and they denied coverage. Avoid at all cost. They record u and try to get ur statement so they can deny coverage. Go with State Farm instead for Christ sake.

Okay, so viking is a shell company of dairyland insurance, and they're a shell company of something called black hawk.... Scam, seems like it. And they won't help us with their driver at fault.
