I received a flyer in the mail that claimed newly reduced rates in the area where I live. The dwelling amount shown for our house looked reasonable and the premium was too good to be true.
I was considering switching our homeowners insurance so I contacted them to get a quote. As expected, the quote ended up at least three times as much as the one shown on the flyer. It is indeed a bait and switch so do not waste your time contacting them based on a flyer.

They added a driver to my policy without my consent. I received a letter stating I had 30 days to contact them to prevent that from happening, but the driver was added in less than 30 days. When I went to the office and was told the driver was already added and they expected an additional 300 dollars in payment, I informed them it had not been 30 days since I received their communication. Their manager proceeded to patronize me and try to blame the mail system. I informed them I was referring to the date they put on the letter, not the date I received it. I was still treated with arrogance and disrespect, and they refused to correct the issue. Not a good experience with this agency.

Sent a letter to my home with a quote for under $600 annually. The quote gave my address and coverages. I called in to get that policy and the quote they gave me was 3x that amount. I understand they’re limited I what they can provide in advance, but not that limited. A deliberate bait and switch isn’t cool.

No communication. My rates were raised 25% with no warning. I don't count the same email that I get in a weekly basis for no reason. So no I dont look at them. Called and nobody returned my call. So fast forward 3months. It goes up again 15%. No warning again I called no explanation of why it happened again. Nobody knows why or cam answer. I canceled and then they can't explain why I don't get my unused portion of my policy back. Terrible service never available

I've been with this insurance agency office since 1994. It used to be owned by somebody else and Tracie Bibb bought it. They are very good at explaining things however the rates are so high and I get higher rates every time without understanding why. I don't have any accidents or tickets that should be causing it to go up. I paid over $155 this month and that's way too much for a woman in her fifties. So I've gone back to AAA because they save me $60 a month with the same level of insurance.

My wife and I used this agency for our Home and Auto insurance for the last 6 years. In the insurance industry, we understand that rate increases happen all the time. However, a +20% rate increase over the course of 6 months is unacceptable. Their “it is what it is” attitude doesn’t necessarily help the sting either.

We noticed that over the years, our spotless driving records and on-time-payments only netted us more rate increases. This recent increase was the proverbial ‘last straw,’ and after AllState told us there is nothing they can do to help lower the rate, we reached out for quotes from competitors. All of them came in substantially lower for the same coverage.

Over the years (much to my regret) I convinced 3 of our friends to use this agency. I was such a fan that I didn’t even use the “Referral Program” that offers current customers $20 for each new customer. Just wanted to spread the word. I am now spreading the updated word.

If you are considering this agency, please know this:
1 - The honeymoon phase wears off in about 2 years.
2 - Your rates will probably be doubled by your 3rd year with them. And that is with a perfect driving record. I shudder to think of their rates if I had a bad driving record.
3 - You will hear some form of “It is what it is” or “Oh, it’s happening everywhere” or "We hate rate hikes as much as you." (yet every 6 months, there it is)

Personal Experience:
Below are 2 email communications. One is from AllState addressing the quotes I received from Competitors. The second response was from the Competitor addressing AllState’s questions.

1st email - AllState's response to Competitor's quote:
-----------------------
“Hi John,
I appreciate you getting these quotes over to me. Across the board, these do look like a good deal. You would lose the $10,000 death indemnity coverage you have here at Allstate.
Do you know if these are firm numbers with all reports ran?”
-----------------------

2nd email - Competitor' response when I asked about this "extra benefit:"
-----------------------
"Hello John,
I have added that coverage to your auto insurance quote. It increased it less than $1. The numbers are firm."
-----------------------

I should mention that AllState told me that the $10,000 death indemnity coverage is not removable from their policies. It’s always added. So, asking if the competitor has that coverage, as if it were some AMAZING benefit, is laughable. If they just made it optional, then maybe their rates wouldn’t be so insane.

AllStates ‘concern’ that I would lose a policy coverage that only costs an extra $1 shows how little value AllState can really offer you. Especially if that was the only response they had to equal coverage at a MUCH lower cost. It also shows that they are proud to highlight lackluster ‘benefits.’

We will be moving our policies. From my experience (and shared experiences) I highly recommend anyone reading this to look elsewhere. Current customer or not.

Pros to AllState:
I should note that they were very polite with their unhelpfulness. So that is a plus, I guess.

Had a great experience with Tracie and Tatum and my daughters absolutely loved playing with Murphy the pug puppy. Tatum was awesome and explained everything and made everything make sense. We ended up with more coverage for less money than our previous insurance. So an amazing experience overall, will tell everyone who will listen to me about Tracie and her team, highly recommend!!!
