It has been a little over a year since my car accident when I was rear ended by the drunk driver, and only now I can calmly write a review. Theodora was a good agent while I was married to my now ex-husband who gave her a lot of business, but as soon as we separated, my car insurance and home insurance was too small for her to provide a fair service during the time when my minor child and I needed it the most. My car accident happened on Wednesday and I was starting a new job on Monday. Also I had to take my daughter to school every day, which I stated in my conversation with the agent and her representatives. I had no clue I will be treated so badly just because I had no connection with her biggest customer anymore. Follow the money, someone once said. Here are the exact facts of what happened after my accident in the following bullet points:
- my agent, herein Theodora, didn’t arrange towing my damaged car, neither arranged the rental car;
- she stated that the claim should be filed with the opposite insurance agency;
- agency had 2 business days prior to a weekend to make arrangements and I’ve got a reply that “now it’s Saturday and we can’t help you. Do you work 7 days a week”,- she asked. I replied that I worked on Saturdays and Sundays for years and I valued my customers;
- unprofessional agent - calling the person advocating for me “whoever you are” over the phone;
- I had to talk to 5 different reps in her office, and I still had to call the toll free number where representatives were helpful;
- after all of the above, I cancelled my home insurance with them over the phone, but even that wasn’t done correctly, I still received billing for it. Hypocrisy, double standards and just not humane behavior, that’s what I’ve got after years of giving business to this particular agency!
