Some good agents, and some bad agents. John Oakden is a good agent. Stacie Lynne Totsky needs to find a new career. She admitted to me that she has never had any experience with customers in a situation like mine. Then, she tried to tell me that she, the employee, was going to hang up on me, the paying client, because she didn't think she could help me. If she was unable to handle my tone of voice, grow up and get a new job. Does the Mahoney Group agree with their agents trying to dismiss their customers? I sure wouldn't. They almost lost my business today, but Stacie is incompetent and needs to go.

Been with Mahoney group since 2002. In 2019 we had a major fire. We were insured through CNA. CNA said they would no longer ensure us. Mahoney group was able to get us insurance through another carrier although our rates went through the roof. Now the current insurance said they will no longer carry us though we have not made a claim for the last 2 years. Mahoney group said they would try to find someone to insurers that was in October haven't heard a word from them since. I was able to find insurance through country financial. At a much lower price than Mahoney group.

I own an ice cream shop with my brother, called Desert Dream, when we were getting started we were in a rush to get insurance given our landlord had specific requests.

The guys at Mahoney Group told me the prices were the best I was going to find. After awhile of some annoying letters and non stop emails of useless reminders I began my search for another insurance, when I called to ask about some of the reminders and never got a reply. I do not want to sound like an ad for another insurance company but Statefarm was about half the price... And to clarify the price was significantly better because the policy was less, but this was because unlike the uncaring guys are the Mahoney group who were just eager to get me on a big policy, knowing my landlord wanted a semi unreasonably big policy. The agent from Statefarm when I told him what I needed he looked into it said I could get away with a policy much less expensive that would still give me safe coverage and went the extra mile to meet my landlord and convince her it wasn't necessary and succeeded! You wont get that effort from the Mahoney Group.

The kicker is I tried to cancel my insurance over a month and a half ago. No one would answer the calls or reply to the messages and they just prolonged my cancellation long enough to charge me some more. To people new to business like myself a good lesson is when a company doesn't reply to your calls drop them right away, they don't care about you or the success of your business when many other companies are much more eager to answer questions, reply fast, and work with you to be on the best plan for you and not for them!

Always there to answer questions and they have the best prices I have found yet. They go out of there way to shop insurance companies to help bring down our costs. They will be quick to take your money, and add policies on your plan that weren’t initially discussed. Although they came from a recommendation because of the good rates, I’ll have to be honest in my evaluation of the professionalism. I called and was left on hold and was told I’d get a call back regarding a cancellation. Never got that call. Instead I had to keep calling them, only to be transferred to my “agent” who told me that my policy was cancelled due to a 60 day clause the company has. Bold faced lie! (She knows why) Which isn’t true based on why I know the policy was cancelled regarding confusion with an address change and the drama that living with in-laws has caused. The paperwork was sent to the old address that I had literally just moved from regarding an incident and updated to my new address. Insurance was paid on the 1st of March cancellation notice sent out quickly after saying that the converage was good until the 18th of March. When asked for how much of a refund they said $15 because they said they had began coverage on Feb 20? 9 days before the first payment they started my coverage. That truly doesn’t make sense. This company is a scam, and a true con at its finest just to keep the money. I have 4 days if coverage left thank God apparently. I wonder if they’d back a claim made or they’d fight it. Because I technically have one. We shall see. Updates to come. And disputes.
