I'm not sure whom I spoke to today--he didn't think to introduce himself. If you enter at the south entrance, it's whoever sits at the middle cubicle on the left side. My mother and I went in with a question about a document that needs to be witnessed. He spent most of the time talking about how difficult that would be for him to do (it required one signature). Ultimately, our meeting ended with his saying "Well, I don't want to."

As a rule, I do not leave online comments. Today, I make an exception not because he refused to help us, but because he was absurdly rude to my mother. He cut her off every time she spoke. His attitude was terse, condescending, and totally unprofessional. He did not understand our request because of a total lack of effort on his part.

There are so many banking options in this country. I will never choose one whose employees are disrespectful to my family.

The process to set up just a debit card is a literal nightmare. I’ve spend hours tonight trying to get it activated. ATM. Calling. Online. I have several other accounts and this is by far the worst in terms of a simple checking account. Will be switching right away. The Wintrust app for online banking is horrible as well. (Forgot to mention) I called the exact number on the paper sent with my debit card and got redirected to a bank in Omaha to set up my card and was given zero explanation. I complain zero about almost everything but do not want people to be annoyed with the process if it comes to opening accounts or cards so just letting ya know.
