Firstly, I'll like to say that I give reviews on commendatory and derogatory services in which I receive. I think its important that I relay the product to you. In this case its not so good.

I was struck by these peoples client in the rear in which damaged my D/S rear taillight and bumper. Police report was conducted and it clearly states their client was at fault. Their client told the Officer that she didn't see my truck it was in a blind spot. She was a very nice lady. I gets the police report and call (02/20/2025) these folks (Southern Trust) and file the claim with them. The first thing that so called adjuster (Shauna Woodard) told me was we don't go by the police report and she needs a statement from her client. What the What ! That's the baseline of the insurance submittal the report. From day one I had the feeling these folks aren't trying to fulfill their obligations.

So after about a week (02/25/2025) I hadn't received no update, so I email Woodard and no response. So I started looking at reviews of this place and there it was people expressing unsatisfactory of Woodard all over Google. While reading the reviews some one mention to call Jay Buchanan the Manager of claims, so I did on 03/06/2025. He responded with he'll reach out to Woodard, But didn't hear from her

So today (03/12/2025 I send Buchanan another email and no reply. Then I called Woodard expecting no results and didn't get any. She told me the same as she did when I first called on 02/20/2025 that she's awaiting a statement from her client. It's been almost a month and no statement yet.

In closing, She called back a couple of hours later that day and told me she has her clients statement. Ok, you got it now. Whatever ! Their outcome was that both parties were at fault (Liars). I had to wait a entire month to hear that trash of support.

I must say this was the worst experience of support from a Company ever. Be aware of these folks and pray they don't have client that's in a accident with you out there fault. A Total Failure of a Insurance Company. I will make sure none of my friends and family support you in any way.

Please avoid this horrible dishonest company at all costs.
I had the nerve to inquire about a claim for our basement after the flood. They denied us of course due to not having extra flood coverage.
But just denying us wasn't enough for them, no. They came up with an excuse to reduce our coverage, which canceled our current policy and gave them the ability to offer us a new policy of reduced coverage for double the cost of what we were paying before.
Nice. Scummy way to take advantage and screw over your customers and disaster victims.
I wouldn't purchase another policy through this company if they were the last one standing.
When I tried to speak to them about it they utterly refused to even speak to me. they said my only communication recourse I had was via 3rd party through my broker.
I couldn't have a lesser opinion of a company that does business like this. They couldn't care less about their customers

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! PART 1. Shauna Woodard (Claims adjuster) was not only negligent but dismissive and rude. I was in a car accident in September. I was rear-ended by someone insured by ST and this entire process has been problematic. From day ONE I was given the runaround. My insurance company got in touch with ST to begin the process. I was told to send pictures and to pick up my rental from enterprise AFTER I drop off my vehicle to the repair shop. When I got to the repair shop, they told me nothing could be done until I had an estimate from ST. After a few calls initiated by the repair shop to ST, we found out that an initial estimate was not necessary because I was enrolled in the direct repair program. So ST will cut the company a check after the repairs are done. After a few days of checking the app from the repair shop, I noticed that vehicle was towed from location #1 to location#2. I called location #1 and they apologized for not making aware that my car was in another city. I called locatio. #2 and they told me they tried reaching out to ST for an estimate but they could not get an answer. I then called ST to figure out the next steps and Shauna told me she was not aware that my car was in another shop and that she had to cancel the first repair program and start over with a new repair program. At this point, I am under the impression that my repairs will start since I don't need an initial estimate. I then receive word from the shop that a random adjuster visits the shop, looks at my vehicle, but does not provide an estimate to the shop. I call Shauna again (confused because this is the direct repair program..where they reimburse the shop without an initial estimate) as to why a gentleman representing ST would be looking at my vehicle and not provide any info to the shop. Shauna then tells me that they sent someone out but it takes a few days to get an estimate calculated.....
SO now we are in yet another week of excuses, and the general manager of the repair shop wants to contact me AGAIN about an estimate and also informs me that ST had the WRONG VEHICLE indicates for repairs. (She actually had the vehicle of the car that HIT ME). After calling her out about it, she threw the repair shop under the bus, and then told me she made a mistake due to being distracted. The shop is finally able to begin repairing my vehicle, however, they discovered more damages on my car. I was delayed once again, but the repair shop assured me that they will get the part I need. After about 2-3 weeks total of confusion, my car is ready to be picked up on a FRIDAY EVENING (4:30pm) but the repair shop is still unable to release my car because the insurance company did not verify with the company had a check ready. Repair shop tried to contact Shauna and ST on 10/23 and by 10/25 5pm, still no word on the check.

So I had to wait all weekend for the shop and ST to open on Monday morning 10/28, to facilitate some type of communication between the two companies about payment. Mind you I am still in a rental and I leave to move relocate for my new job (out of state) on 10/29. My mother was able to physically go to ST office in Macon, Ga while I was in Atlanta waiting to pick up my car. Shauna was not available at the time, but she talked to the supervisor where he was able to verify the location of my check. The check was sent out o 10/09 and no one knew about this until today (10/28), because we did our due diligence to make sure things were done correctly.

Now it is time for me to return my car to enterprise in order to retrieve my vehicle, but I still can't get my car because there were 3 days worth of nonpayment from ST. And why, because I had to keep my car past 10/25 (the projected date of repair completion) because the shop is closed on the weekend. So I had to pay out of pocket for something that was not my fault. Enteprise was kind enough to print all the info to present to ST in order to get reimbursed. Of course, my mother went back to ST, and let's just say they were not pleased.

Might be a little harsh to leave a one star review when my experience with this company has thus far only been 36 hours. However, so far I'm not impressed.

I was rear ended by a dump truck that is commercially insured through this company. I filled a claim and was told that I would be contacted by an adjuster within 24 hours. Of course, no one has contacted me.

My car was towed from the scene and I needed a claim number in order for the shop that will work on it to get it towed to them. I call back today and I'm told that the policy number is the claim number. Couldn't tell me that the first time. I also am told that I do have a claims agent/adjuster who evidently hasn't bothered to reach out within the 24 hour period I was told they would. I am connected to him, no answer, so I left a message. I call back, no answer. Interestingly the email address he leaves on his voicemail is different from the email address given to me by the person who connected me.

Anyway, still haven't heard back from them. The body shop has emailed the adjuster to start the process of getting the car moved. Still no response.

All the while I still don't have a vehicle. We're not off to a good start here and something tells me this is going to be a terrible experience.

I was involved in an auto accident and the lady's car that I hit had this to say about her experience with Shay Jackson the claims lady:
The following message was sent from Sierra Koger: "My car is repaired in less than a week and the southern trust claims agent was very nice."

"I just wanted to let you know that she was very happy with your service. And I want to personally thank you for your help and prompt response to her claim."

I don't recommend this insurance company. They insure a business that provides services for us who installed a motor with reversed polarity at a car wash and caused significant damage to 3 vehicles (brush was spinning in the wrong direction). After the first vehicle was damaged it bent a shaft that is driven by the motor they installed. Our team removed this equipment from service and ordered a new shaft. The new shaft arrived 7 days later and we installed it, once put back into service the wrap damaged 2 more vehicles and that's when we noticed they installed the motor backwards. The company that installed the motor should have verified the wrap was spinning in the right direction. This insurance company claims that we were responsible for the direction of the motor when we replaced the shaft, even though we never touched the motor and aren't responsible for the damages caused by them installing it incorrectly.

The example I've been sharing with everyone is this. Think about taking your car to an automotive shop to have a new steering gear box installed. The gear box is installed incorrectly so there is a lot of vibration which causes the cover of the steering wheel to fall off. When you get home, you put the cover back on and the next day you realize the car needs to be taken back to the shop. On the way back to the shop, you get in a car accident because the gear box failed. In this case, Southern Trust will only cover the cost of putting the steering wheel cover back on and not the cost of the accident. Afterall, since you replaced the steering wheel cover you are now responsible for everything the shop installed incorrectly. At all cost avoid doing business with Southern Trust Insurance Company.

Very unprofessional and causes inconveniences that end up costing other people out of pocket money. Could not be more dissatisfied with customer service and services provided. Would not recommend.

This is the first time in my life that I have ever been driven to leave a review on a business ever. As a third party who was hit by an insured member of this company, I am appalled. It happened at the end of October 2023. It is now March 2024. My body shop has sent over an estimate that has been "approved" but I have yet to see a check at all. My body shop has the parts in and is just waiting on payment to fix the car. My adjuster has "been on vacation" multiple times since October and she has only returned my calls and emails once. Every time I talk to another employee they tell me that they will look at the claim and call me back. They never call me back. Dealing with this company has been beyond frustrating and the process of fixing a simple 3,000 dollars in damages and labor has turned into a half a year process. Ridiculous! This company needs to get it together. I'm not the only person with the same issues.
