The SSA office in Russellville has received mixed reviews from customers. While some customers have reported positive experiences, such as Amanda who was incredibly helpful in resolving their issue, others have expressed frustration with long wait times and a perceived lack of empathy from staff. Despite these challenges, the office provides essential services to the public and remains an important resource for individuals seeking information and assistance related to Social Security benefits.

Amanda was incredibly helpful in resolving my issue. She discovered and corrected information that had been incorrectly recorded on their end.
She was one of two people taking care of everyone. I can only imagine the stress they are working under. Kudos to the Russellville office!

Went to get apply for a SSN in December after applying for one with USCIS and not getting it on time. When we spoke with the male representative and told him we applied for one already he said he didn't believe "that's how it works." I didn't respond to him but did Google searches right then and there because if I am wrong I will own up to it. Both the social security government website and USCIS website said I was correct.

Man did not know what he was doing so a red flag went up. It was confirmed he did not know what he was talking about when he asked about an i94 and said it was a greencard. No, it is not. He tried to do the application and said he did not want to submit it because it would "cause a problem in the system."

We left because it was the holidays and made an appointment to come back in January. Went this week and spoke to a female representative who knew what she was doing and were in and out in 15 minutes. I don't care whether the rep is male or female but my hope is the supervisors read this and train their employees better. The office is clean, the security is nice, and waiting times were relatively fast both times. The first time we went one of the representatives was rude but it was the holidays and government jobs are no fun so sucks for them

The service and the attitudes are the worst one ever experienced. It's shocking.

They think that because they're federal employees, there will be no consequences. They believe it's nearly impossible to be fired.

Today after 4 months of screw ups, excuses, crappy attitudes and an intervention from my Congressman, the rep got up and refused to help me. No one else came. I could hear them talking about me in the back office.

The only way this is going to change is with lots of calls to congressmen and senators. Blow up their phones.

I've spoken with the supervisor and he's just as useless

They're great, and I really believe they're doing their very best with a severe staffing shortage. Ahem, hello Congress? I found you get better service by calling the local number 1-877-445-0827, not the toll free number.

i went inside to get benefits gave them all my information said i’d be called. when i was called lady was rude as hell, was telling me my information was incorrect even though i had it right in front of me. telling me what i told the lady in person wasn’t the same as what i was telling her. said i made too much, when i had all my pay stubs sitting in front of me while adding them up (before tax like they do!) and still not making past the limit she told me. basically kept running me around in circles with my information bc she’s never had to deal with that type of job so she physically couldn’t understand what i was saying. awful experience makes me wanna say screw the benefits, and help. some people don’t have SET hours they work, one month i might make 1400 but the next i’ll make barley 1000 that’s economy nowadays y’all should know.

Amanda:

I Went To The Social Security Office Shortly After It Opened One Morning. My S.S. Card Had Became More Worn Out Than I Am, Fell Apart! Had To Have A New One! Read The Reviews Before I Went And Thought, " Oh Boy " I Dread This, As It Was The Only Time I Had Been Back To The S.S. Office Since I Reached The Magic Age, 13 Years Before! Only 1 Person Ahead Of Me And In Less Than 20 Minutes They Called My Number, Met One Of The Nicest Ladies You Could Ever Want, Very Helpful, Courteous, Friendly, Quick And Knew What She Was Doing! Done Her Thing! Told Me I Would Receive A New Card In The Mail, And It Came Just Like She Said, Even A Few Days Early! Her Name Is Amanda, Never Saw Her Before, And May Never Again. Thank You So Much Amanda, If They Leave You A Bad Review, They Are The Bad One! Thank You Again, You Are A Very Nice, Helpful Lady! As A Slow, "Ol" , Man In A Fast World, I Do Appreciate Your Help Very Much! Signed And Proud To: Ken Partain

The people working there taking calls and interviewing people are swamped a ton, I can appreciate that they have the stamina to do what they do. I know there's a ton of negative reviews about this place but what people seem to fail to notice is that this place is not the governing body that is actually in charge of THE social security administration, this is just a branch. The wait time is what you'd expect from a place that has a constant stream of disgruntled people. Giving 4 stars for the work effort provided (even though people can't understand that the employees need a break from nonstop talking for hours themselves), would be 5 if the lobby wasn't pungent with the smell of body oder, curtsey of the angry people that go there.

Does a free man need an attorney to take what is theirs for our government? I did. Our SSA delayed, denied, delayed, discredited, denied, delayed, lied, delayed, argued, delayed and paid.
Mine is the King of kings! He promises you recompense also. Seek Justice and He will anoint you and flip their tables.
The SSA used a medical record to refuse my claim and then spent the next 3 years denying that medical record. When I finally got to court they questioned the validity of those medical records and me! It is nothing more than a mob of your neighbors.
The SSA denied my claim in 13 languages multiple times, hung up on me, and boldly pretended. Have faith and demand it in 3D. The Lord has a table waiting for you in court. He delivered me an attorney, a judge, and a check. Hang in there. You’ll be certain you’ve lost before you win. Peace be with you.
