My experience with SkipperBuds includes buying my first boat, taking delivery of the new boat, getting an informative on the water boat instruction of my new boat, dealing with a small warranty issue, and having my boat stored for the winter at their location. They are customer focused from end-to-end. Working with SkipperBuds Sequoit Harbor General Manager, Mr Anderson, has been a great experience. I appreciated his professionalism, leadership, and council.

I attended the January 2023 Chicago Boat Show and met Betsey who was a tremendous resource. She answered my many questions as a first time boat buyer. After four hours working with me through the decision making process—between an outboard 17ft Bayliner M17 and a Starcraft SVX 171–with her steady help, I ordered the Starcraft. I couldn’t be happier with my boat choice.

This boat has been a great addition to my family and has fit into our lifestyle of tubing, water skiing, and no wake sunset cruises with up to 10 family and friends, perfectly. The versatility of a deck boat like this is fantastic and is easy to trailer. Buying a new boat at one of the first boat shows of the year (Chicago) was key to an earlier delivery. Just as Skipperbuds had indicated in January at the show, the boat was delivered in April.

I was given a fantastic on the water tour of the boat from Sequoit Harbor boat Captain Keith who did an awesome job answering all my questions and thoroughly showing me the capabilities of the boat to a new first-time boat owner. Despite a problem with the boat Indiana State registration we were able to find an amicable solution and I’m happy to recommend SkipperBuds should you need to buy a boat.

Also working with the Skipperbuds GM was a very good experience following up on a small warranty issue with the boat’s Bimini. Within a few days I had the replacement part. In addition, I’m using them this winter to store the boat inside non-heated storage. Overall I’ve had a great experience with SkipperBuds and we love our new Starcraft!

This place has numerous boats on their website as well as many other places listed for sale. Unfortunately there is a very good chance the boat that you are driving there to buy was already sold weeks ago. Do not drive here thinking watercraft that are shown on their website are actually available for purchase. And judging by previous reviews do not buy anything pre owned unless they can provide you with the title at the time of purchase.

A bit pricey from a buddy I know that keeps his boat here. Otherwise a decent area to store your boat and launch off. $20 launch fee for boats without slips. Looks like its under construction for a couple of things that needed fixing but still can access everything. Great pool they have to cool down in.

My family and I have rented from skipper buds twice. The first time was a great experience with a really nice boat and friendly staff. The second time we had an older boat that had some issues with the switchboard (but it was still drivable) so we were a little disappointed. Staff was still great! When we expressed our disappointment to the staff- Natalie and Jennifer really made it right and took good care of us. Jennifer went above and beyond. Great customer service.

I paid $14,000 in full for a boat and trailer from Skipper Buds back in June of 2020, expecting a smooth transaction and prompt delivery of the necessary documentation. However, what I received instead was nothing short of a nightmare.

Despite my full payment upfront, I have yet to receive the title for my purchase. It's been almost four years of frustration, countless phone calls, and broken promises from Skipper Buds. The lack of accountability and professionalism is staggering.

I am baffled by the utter disregard for customer satisfaction displayed by Skipper Buds. It's as if they believe their responsibilities end the moment they pocket your hard-earned money. Well, I'm here to tell you that's not the case.

If you're considering doing business with Skipper Buds, I urge you to reconsider. Save yourself the headache and find a company that values its customers and fulfills its obligations. Trust me; it's not worth the hassle.

Very nice boat facility with new and used boats. Sales people are fantastic and knowledgeable
