Just not a convenient bank due to policies and procedures, if your new to the city don't use this bank they'll hold your checks, they don't print cards. Just use a more convenient bank.

Great customer service at the San Marcos CA branch by a young gentleman named Jose. He was patient, caring, professional, and informative. He helped me solve my issue and I finished my business happily. Hope SDCCU hires and trains more people like Jose.

Had a checking and savings account with SDCCU for about 4 years. Cancelled both of my accounts recently due to an awful banking system. Their infrastructure is crumbling yet their ceo is taking home huge bonuses. Yet, Their mobile app straight up doesn’t work at random hours, which is extremely inconvenient for folks who work late shifts or need an emergency like gas, food water etc. it’s a joke.

the User interface for the app is also ancient. You’d think with their $18 million in overdraft fees they collected they could afford to make an app that actually works. Face ID unlock broken for all iPhone users, such a trivial bug and it’s still not fixed even years of them finding out about it? Sad.

The staff is friendly enough, but that was not enough to keep banking with them. Over all, it’s exhausting to bank with SDCCU. I’ve opened an account somewhere else and am enjoying all the benefits they provide. you’d be better off going somewhere else I promise.

Calling to customer service and talked to a lady named Luanda or Luwanda, she was polite but constantly cut me off when I was talking. A big part of giving great customer service is to LISTEN to your customer. But was the same with the next employee, I called again and the representative hung me up because I was confused by the time. No patience at all by these two representatives .... SDCCU GIVE COSTUMER SERVICE TRAINING TO YOUR EMPLOYEES !!

I have been a member of SDCCU for 10+ years. Their quality of service has gone WAY down. Some company’s have taken zero time bouncing back from the pandemic, but this seems to be their new standard. If you like long phone wait times and rude bankers/tellers, this is the correct financial institution for you. I will be moving my account elsewhere.

I've banked with them for 5 years and before that with plenty of other banks!! Never had an issue with SDCCU and everybody is always sooo nice, respectful and they know what their doing!! I feel excited building my credit with them and refinancing my car loan too!! No complaints about the wonderful app!! Keep it up!!

Opened my account over 10 years ago in Chula Vista, CA. (Very nice people). I went to San Marcos branch to get information regarding refinancing my home. They seem to have younger inexperience financial advisers. I was attended by one representative by the name of Alicia. She showed no willingness to help me whatsoever. I was the one asking all the questions. They need to be more trained and educated on customer service!. I'm closing my account A.S.A.P. I will just stay with Mission Fed.

This credit union is far superior to the 5 other banks I've used in my life time. Amazing customer service. Fast loan approvals. Much better rates than big banks. And every employee treats you like family. I'll never close my account with SDCCU!
