I have been in practice for over 20 years and a practice owner 2 years short of that. I feel like it has taken me most of my career to find an accountant that I could trust. And as I client, I was loyal. I stayed with accountants despite their many mistakes, sometimes because I was afraid I wouldn't find anything better, sometimes because I didn't want to hurt their feelings. At last, freed from too many mistakes on a single tax filings, I found PBM. Not just PBM, but Brian Swire. Brian is the best accountant I'd ever had. He is incredibly knowledgeable on all things having to do with accounting, but more importantly things are specific to dental practices, and to the heavy lifting that we, as practice owners have to deal with. Our monthly meetings are organized, time is respected and he comes prepared. We cover the past month, past quarter, compare earnings, profit, EBITA, overhead to year's past. We discuss projections of year's end. He makes recommendations appropriate to tax savings. In his hands, I can run my dental office, like a business ought to be run. I feel and I act like a CEO. My only regret is that I didn't have his expertise and advice earlier in my career. But even as such, knowing that I have him as my accountant today, he's been worth waiting for. Yes, 2 decades worth of wait. My life and my finances are immeasurably better.

I started using PBM in the middle of the pandemic after having to fire my former accounting firm. I was recommended to work with Joe Lessard, after discussing my dire needs with a physician colleague who had been working with Joe and the team at PBM. I went from having nightmares dealing with my accountant, to actually looking forward to working with them. As a millennial, business owner and solo physician. I have been impressed with their fund of knowledge, disposition to help with issues related to practice management, benefits, and other issues that for a solo physician come up and they help. I appreciate their full set transparency. I know that I can quickly call them and if it's short and sweet, they aren't nickle and diming me for billable times. For any long term projects, they provide estimates and strive to adhere to them. So far they have been extremely receptive to feedback - my biggest pet peeve was their billing cycle included having to pay by check and having to mail it out. They just launched online bill pay which is great. My team is composed of Joe (CPA), Vickie (Bookeeper), Kelsey (Payroll) -- they all get 10/10 stars.
