We had an awesome experience with Newfi! The entire refi process took less than a month and we were made aware of what what happening every step of the way. Our loan team, Andy and Glenda were amazing! They answered questions right away and made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. There’s a 3 hour time difference and Andy still responded promptly and after hours to assist me and make me feel comfortable with the process. I’m so glad we went with Newfi!

Most excruciating broker process I've experienced thus far. Constant back and forth with the rep, underwriter, funding team, and even the VP of operations Shannon to satisfy conditions that have already been covered multiple times. Underwriter never answered my calls once making it a struggle working with the rep trying to get everyone on the same page. It seemed like communication didn't exist between each department with their constant need for clarification for every single action item. Each milestone in the loan process was like pulling teeth. Even with a lock extension and being 2 weeks past our closing deadline, there was zero sense of urgency and we still did not fund after being CTC. Conditions already uploaded were asked for AGAIN on the day of closing leading to yet another lock extension and delay. Avoid at all costs if you are able to. If you have no other choice, proceed with caution knowing your reputation with your clients and agents will be at extreme risk.

I do not recommend. I repeat do not use this mortgage company. This has truly been one of the most horrible excruciating experience of my life aside from the death of a close family member. This experience with NewFi lending and their subsidiary Nexera was like pulling wisdom teeth with no novicane. I started with 775 credit score. I had a beautiful home i remodeled and appreciated it's value by over $100,000. I began to refi the home with Newfi Lending. They dragged the process along for months. Whenever they asked me for any documents, i provided them immediately. I was a loan officer once and have been in real estate for 22 years. I simply advocated for myself when fees and they kept trying to increase my interest rate at a time when the interest rates were finally declining. Their numbers kept changing. We went through about 4 or 5 underwriting conditional approvals. Either they kept asking for the same thing over and over or they asked for things they already had. Things were not done to the standard of (NMLS) in my opinion so I'm not just complaining on Google, i will be filing a formal complaint on the state and national level. Newfi made a condition of closing that i change my insurance company, which is a reputable insurance company. That can't be legal. I do not believe the Truth in Lending laws were followed.
I am now in a different position than months ago when i started. Even as of Sept 10, 2024, there was still no closing date in sight. I finally decided to rip the bandaid off and start new with another lender even at this late stage because i had no confidence in this loan ever closing. I decided to look up Newfi on Google and i really wish that i would have done that before they started working with my loan. They had horribel reviews. People in the industry were having problems just like i was. The were experiencing and being treated the same way i was being treated. I will also be reporting them to BBB and NMLS and I will constantly talk about this company and making sure I mention their name on all social media platforms. I moved my loan with a new lender on Sept 10, 2024. Thanks to my new lender we closed this loan on October 16, 2024, just a little over 1 month with no problems. Newfi was trying to change my interest rate to over 8%. My new rate is 7.1% Shame on Newfi lending

Don't get this bank they will send a apraisal company and they will denied the loan. I paid 625 for the appraisal the next day the denied the loan they reimburse 312 soo they own me 313 I know I'm not getting that back thanks newfi
