Well we were loyal customers for about 20 years now I believe. We referred customers to them and I know one of them for sure is still using them. For years I went to Karen and always had great conversations with her and liked her very much. As they got bigger we were given Rosa and that's who we sent our stuff to. Also use them to handle my mom's trust account. Their prices would go up every year and we were paying a hefty amount but still stayed with them. Well this December of 2022 we received a termination letter which was emailed by someone at the firm that I've never even heard of. Came to a huge shock to us that I emailed Karen asking what brought this on especially since Rosa had told me they could still represent us when we moved out of state which we just did a few months ago. She never replied. And Karen has always replied to my emails prior to this one. I thought we were pretty good customers and were very loyal to them and expected to use them for a very long time. I feel that we deserved better than this.

I've been working with Langwasser for over 5 years (personally and with my LLC) and I can unabashedly say that they are an amazing group of people. I refer colleagues, friends and family whenever I can because I am very comfortable knowing how their business will be handled. I recently had to request a letter from my CPA while going through the home purchase process, and I needed it within 24 hours or else escrow would've been pushed back a week (costing at least hundreds of dollars), I called and Jackie and Karin were on it like white on rice. I called at 3:00 on a Tuesday, and had the letter by 8:30 am Wednesday morning. If you're a business owner and needing a new CPA, or want a fresh set of eyes on your books I'd get an appointment with them ASAP.

They were extremely helpful for some freelance bookkeeping in the past, but charged us $350 for a 15-minute appointment to do simple taxes this year. Just a few W-2's, no itemization, no side business any more, no stock sales, etc., but wouldn't budge on the preparation price. We won't be back.

Make sure you do the consultation with them before signing any documents. They charged $575 for a simple tax return. FYI, all they did was prepare the form. Wanted them to see if I qualify for the foreign earned income tax but they didn’t know that since they didn’t do a consultation until AFTER they prepared the regular tax return. Save yourself $545 and do your taxes online. Legal scam artists.
