Prior to becoming affiliated with optisure (I'm not sure if they were acquired or what happened) Mather & Pitts was great. Since they joined they have become very corporate and tough to deal with.

Tim - I appreciate your reply. The issues are that (1) I now receive unsolicited mass emails (I've tried to unsubscribe multiple times, it doesn't work) and (2) I am expected to complete massive online applications to get a quote. Before you were acquired (I see Mather & Pitt's Principal now has the same office address as Optisure...) I could get a quote in a 15 or 20 minute phone call. The online surveys take longer. I also never received spam before the acquisition. If Mather & Pitts ever becomes an independent agency again I'll be sure to give it another try. Again, I appreciate the reply.

I can’t recommend enough doing business with Mather and Pitts insurance! Our family has used them since we moved to the shoreline area of Connecticut 27 years ago. They have met our needs for our home insurance and auto insurance perfectly. Through the years they have patiently explained the ins and outs of various coverages. Almost 2 years ago, we had a family crisis while we were out of state. Tammie called me in the midst of our crisis ( on the weekend!) and assured me she would do the “legwork “ with our auto insurance company and save us a huge stress. She was an absolute angel to do this for our family! Repeatedly she has been an incredible help to us. She is reason alone for us to continue to do business with this fine local insurance company!
