I initially chose Joseph Sandoval with American Family Insurance because his quote was affordable, despite some off-putting behavior (he called me "sweetie" multiple times throughout the quote process). About six months after moving in, we had heavy rains and I had questions about my coverage—Joe was completely unresponsive to both emails and phone calls during a time when I really needed support. Fast forward two years, my premium increased (as expected) and I had no other option but to shop my insurance and save money where I can. When I finally emailed Joseph to say I’d found a more affordable policy and asked how to cancel, he didn’t provide any guidance—he just canceled my policy on the spot without confirming anything with me. I expected better communication and professionalism. If you want someone who calls your sweetie, ghosts you when you need help and cancels your insurance without your input, Joe’s your guy.

Agency is lacking in customer service. I can hardly get anyone to call me back and now have a collection letter for $48 for the autopay fell on an umbrella that off when we moved states. Thank Joe! Switching insurance even on a Sunday!
