While American National does not seem like a bad insurance company, I certainly cannot recommend John Pigman; go with another agent.

I very much want to protect my home, automobiles and family, but he constantly tried to upsell and utilized scare tactics whenever we asked him to clarify why he was recommending coverage so far above what was reasonable.

When we mentioned a quote from another company to see what the difference was, he became very condescending and aggressive in his sales tactics. He was borderline insulting, telling us that we obviously did not understand Colorado law when we were simply asking questions and comparing premiums. It's a shame, because American National lost our business only due to his unprofessional behavior.

If you must go with American National, find another agent. Do not choose John Pigman.
