Staff was extremely polite, genuinely caring, accommodating and made me feel comfortable during my entire visit for hernia. The ER staff was one of the best I have ever experienced and I have been to many hospitals in my lifetime. Great job St Joseph's - Breese!

Medical Records department lady never works and doesn’t reply. I need my MRI and have gotten no response, and every time I call it hangs up on me once I get to the right department. Terrible service in that area. Other areas are fine, but they need to due better about this, it’s been almost a month of me trying to get my records. And yes, I called the place they service out to, as well, and nothing. Can I sue for this? 😒

I was there for blood clots in my leg, after a bad past several months. I've been in a horrible mood already and these clots just about did me in. Everybody there, from the ER to my 2 day stay was very patient, helpful and didn't mind at all explaining things to me, more than once, if needed. Sandra, Radiologist, talked me into having tests that nobody else could have. Hospital stays are never pleasant, but all the staff at St Joseph's, from medical, to housekeeping, to dietary made my stay not so scary or depressing. If I have to have another stay, I will definitely go back here. Thank you, everybody there. I wish I could thank you all by name, but you know who you are. God bless you all.

Overall I'm happy with the care my son received here. From the moment we came in to the moment we left the staff was nice and welcoming. The nurse who was dealing with my son the whole time (who was very nice herself) recruited one of the EMTs that was there to help her when he started panicking about his blood draw. Adam was very friendly. He took a distraction approach to his recruited job which surprised me in how effective it was given my sons nerves in that moment. He seriously needs to work in pediatrics, he would be so welcomed in that field with how well he manages kids with nerves. My boy talked rather positively about his interaction with him over the following days. The only thing that put me off about my sons care was more or less how little information we actually got from the Dr in terms of what was causing my sons pain. Most of it was it could be this or that with no clear path to pursue.

I’m pregnant and went to the er since I had been throwing up non stop all day and I was severely dehydrated. They gave me no fluids at all and chalked up my nausea to a UTI that I didn’t even have. It also took them two hours just to give me a pill. This would be understandable if they were really busy however for the majority of our time there we could hear the entire staff outside the door laughing and joking around about random subjects. When I went to give my urine sample there was no one at the door either and I had to stand next to the desk as the one who was supposed to be taking care of me showed a video to a coworker until finally someone else told me I could just go back to the room. The doctor was no better. When I brought up the fact that I have had UTIs before and have had them since I have been pregnant and they have never made me nauseous at all his exact words in response were, “Well, everything changes when you’re pregnant”. The entire reason I went to their er was for fluids and they did not even give me that. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. The entire staff was completely careless and brushed off everything I said as if I was the one that didn’t know what I was talking about.

What happened to this hospital. I am an RN who has been coming here for endoscopy. I just got off the phone with a condescending scheduler who not very nicely explained that I would need a GI consultation. When I asked why, when my PCP does management she explained that there is a difference between PCP and gastroenterology. Who knew!!! I never needed an evaluation before, but she tells me it's always been this way. I always received great care and very nice folks here, but never talked to like this gal. YIKES!!!!
