TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM. They took my money, they sold me a policy that did NOT cover the specific thing I needed the coverage for in the first place. Even spoke to an agent about my exact needs when calling to ensure that I got the proper coverage. They DO NOT take responsibility or accountability whatsoever. Almost GASLIGHT you through the process making it seem like it's your fault for purchasing the wrong policy- when they were the ones who "HELPED" me set it up in the first place. I even called on a separate occasion to make sure I have the proper coverage- but when push came to shove they backtracked.... They are terrible- one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! Do not give them a dime- especially if you are a small business owner. I'm struggling and no ones got my back- not even the insurance company that I PAID to have my back. NOPE- they left me out high and dry without any empathy and they will go it again without blinking.

Signed up about 11pm, online not very clear on coverages. Called them at 7am to ask about the missing coverage i needed that wasn't on the plan. They didn't offer and when I asked for refund since policy was only active for 7 hours, they o ly returned 75% of my deposit. Money grab company.

Been a loyal customer over 10 years. The one time I have a claim, it took them 5 weeks to get back to me and to make matters worse, they stated that they were not going to pay my claim. Luckily, my policy is up for renewal, which I obviously cancelled and selected a new insurance agency for my growing business. I do not recommend Hiscox.

HISCOX will deny your claim, which could jeopardize your business. Their focus seems to be on collecting premiums while showing little intention of providing support when needed. My experience with them has left me considering closing my doors for good. HISCOX does not deserve one star.

Had insurance for years through Hiscox. Started using a new email and debit card and was only notified my policy was lapsing through the old email, no phone calls or texts.

I have been paying massive amounts into this company, and have never had to use them.

My city just so happened to get a string of storms and I was forced to use the insurance policy to help cover my business.

This is where things go sideways.
Contacting them regarding claims, makes you feel like this is a fake company.

They have one adjuster who deals with you; you cannot get ahold of them, ever. If you look into their web page and even emails, there are typos, and misspellings everywhere.. I was seriously sitting here wondering if I have been paying into a scam.

Then when and IF your insurance helps you.. they wanted banking info via EMAIL! Typed out sent over an email, RED FLAG.

I still have no idea if this insurance is legit.
But I do know, I will not be giving them anymore money.

Dealing with them is absurd.

I only give one star because 0 won't allow me to leave a review. This company sent me a certified letter informing me that my policy was not going to renew. I received it on 09/02/2023. My policy was to renew on 09/12/2023 otherwise. Upon receipt of this letter, I found coverage elsewhere. Fast forward to November I find that they have been taking my premiums every month anyway. This unaccounted for expense threw my books off and led to an overdraft. I called to straighten it out and was assured they would reimburse the money they had taken for Sept., Oct., and Nov., and no other fees would come out. Well here we are in December and they took it out again and the reimbursement hasn't happened yet either.
I am beginning to believe this company is a scam company.
BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS SHODDY COMPANY!!!!!!

This insurance is a scam poor costumer service and very unethical. They just want to increase my policy and they increase 6 times more expensive than what I had. I never had any accident or anything that can they would have to pay for an incident. They even want me to let them know how much I made. That’s not eve legal. What I made has nothing to do with the coverage. No wonder why they have 2.2 on reviews.
