We have lived in a community managed by five star community management for two years now. I was pleasantly surprised to discover how available and helpful Mike and his team are.

In the short time we’ve lived here, I have had several long conversations with Mike over the phone. Every time we talk, I’m reminded of how attentive he is to his job and how caring he is about our community!

It’s worth noting that many of the challenges our community faces are actually not the result of five star management, but rather, the board that overseas our community directly. While I appreciate everything the board does, it is five star community management that has the actual boots on the ground. Five star management are the ones who actually speak with the tenants and receive all the complaints. From there, they bring the recommendations to the board, and the board has the final say.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Mike and his team at five star management! They are, without question, the most accessible and helpful property management team we have ever worked with!

Poor management and leadership since taking over. Not sure what we pay for with dead grass, replaced with more plants and trees that will use more water than the dead grass did, allowing the entire community to just go to crap with RV’s, broken down cars all collecting dust sitting for weeks and months, basically all rules have been broken and nothing done about it so why do we even pay. The management should be let go and HOA disbanded since it’s a free for all.

I’ve personally had positive, respectful, and cordial interactions with Five Star Management and their staff. I found them to be responsive, communicative and helpful in dealing with both my requests as well as any issued violations. Mike at five star has been extremely helpful and understanding of some of our issues and concerns. We’ve strategized together on how best to address the problems as well as the fines in a reasonable and fair way. I found that to be surprising and unexpected. I was offered a very fair timeline to accomplish our goals and satisfy the HOA requirements. I don’t get the sense that they’re out to get me, but rather, that they work for us and with us to keep everything and everyone in good shape. Look, I get it, nobody likes rules and I for one don’t like being told how to conduct myself on a property I own. However, I also understand that my actions might include my neighbors in ways they don’t wish to be included, and that isn’t fair nor is it respectful. I’d like to be afforded the same consideration by my neighbors. I believe five star management Understands both sides of this coin and are doing their best to navigate this.

I thought during the height of the pandemic I was the only one having issues with this so called Five Star Management Company. After reading all the reviews here I understand the struggle and agony everyone is experiencing with them. They should really rename themselves to be called One Star Management Company. Not only are they not responsive to your calls or emails. They don’t keep their words as to not opposing fines during the height of the pandemic. On another note, Five Star Management Company fined my tenant for parking on the premises during the day they were paving a new coat on the road however, the vehicle was parked between two garages and they have no evidence of the person walking in and out of the place. They just made a blatant decision to speculate without evidence that vehicle belongs to my tenant. Without a courtesy warning a fine of $50 was imposed just a month after they became our new Management Company.

We have been trying to get in contact with this management company for what seems like months now. We have sent countless emails and have made countless phone calls while leaving voice mails. Not once have we had anyone reach back to us.

We have also been trying to make our HOA payments since they have taken over as Management and it seems like it’s never going to happen since 5 Star has changed our account number with our log in/ password. We haven’t received a single letter or email giving us the appropriate information we need. I’d hate to take the legal route but our hands are being tied. Get your act together 5 Star!

I find this HOA Management company to be poorly run. I was under the impression that Auto pay was paying my HOA for months and with no contact from Five Star till they put a Pre-Lien and sent me a letter. Shocking Behavior... NO Call, NO Email, NO letter at all from them till this point and all they could say is sorry we send out a coupon book every year. Well I would like to know how many people use that and send in a paper check.

I find it to be unbelievable that a simple Email at 60days late or a letter at 90day late is to much to ask from an HOA.

Of course I pay paid my Bill once I know I was behind. But I shouldn't have been subject to all this fee without a little effort to see if it was an honest mistake.
