For years I have been paying about $1,400 per month for health insurance with FMN as my insurance broker. I trusted FMN. Always been very nice. I was always concerned about my high cost of health coverage. Never, not once, was California Covered mentioned to save money for my family's insurance. I mentioned it in the past and was told it's pretty much same amount. I called Covered CA (for 2025 coverage) myself and found a much better PPO plan for just $460/mo not $1,400/mo! I was paying $1,400/mo for many years with FMN as my ins broker. So much money thrown away. Legally, FMN did not have a fiduciary responsibility to me, but morally this was wrong. They did not have my best interest as a priority. Call Covered California before you spend tens of thousands of dollars for no reason. The excuse I was given by FMN is that they are not licensed for Covered California. Then the correspondence went dark. They new about Covered CA, but now I feel they just wanted their commissions with my insurance cost so high. Bad business.
