Rates are competitive but you have to pay close attention to the actual $$ benefits because its likely under insured. They refused to pay for certain amount but the worst part was poor service. It takes long for them to get back at you and one supervisor we worked with had NO communication skills. Cheaper doesn't mean good service for Erie.

My agent Sam is great! She always responds promptly and helps me get the coverage im looking for. Also, the other employees/ agents step up and get the job done quickly if Sam isn't available at the moment. They make great things happen without the long wait! Thanks Team Erie!!

Horrible insurance. Got into an accident they had my car in the shops for months and my car is still not fixed.Not to mentioned getting paper work is a hassle. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Zero stars.
My car was damaged by client Erie insurance. I had proof from my dash cam. But this insurance company, citing the fact that they did not have any proofs, rejected my claim for compensation. I have never encountered anything like this in this country. Terrible company.

I recently switched my auto and home insurance to Erie. My agent was Terry Kartheiser and I found him to be very conscientious in reviewing my previous policies and asking me questions regarding my current needs and situation. I was very impressed with that. As it turned out, I was over insured on my home owner's insurance which was costing me an excessive out of pocket premium. And my auto policy was with a strictly online company that fell short of my expectations to put it mildly, and was no bargain to boot. I feel very good about signing with Erie. I can't express enough how thorough Mr. Kartheiser was in providing me and recommending excellent coverage for my needs. I feel so much better having switched to Erie. Terry was professional, with a kind manner, and answered all my calls and emails in a timely manner. I am confident he and Erie will be there for me should the need arise (which I hope it won't)! Thank you, Erie and thank you Terry.

Rate Lock means Nothing. Auto premium went up anyways. Home Ins. went up $250. in a year. No claims. They screw you just like any other Ins Co. and lie about a rate lock for premium.
Nickle and dime you to death. Would strongly Not recommend.

I had a car accident a few years back. A person wasn't familiar with the area and pulled out in front of me and totalled my car. I called my insurance company State Farm and was told to call the person insurance and deal with them. Being hurt and extremely sore it was difficult to move let alone having to deal with an insurance company that I wasn't familiar with. Needless to say, Erie took such great care of me, relieved the stress of having to worry about a rental car, getting paid for all medical cost that I canceled my insurance with State Farm and signed on with Erie and have never regretted that decision.
