I have been with AmFam for about 30 years and have never had any issues with claims; auto, home or business. My previous agent retired and recommended moving to Ed Reed's agency. It was a smooth transition and I have worked with a number of folks in the agency in the past 5+ years. Anytime I need a change to coverage, I can get it done quickly. Working with Tim in the office on a bunch of different coverages has been a breeze over the phone or through email. He also has assisted with recommendations on how to handle claims.

Save yourself the headache and seek another company to handle home and auto insurance. Am Fam charges you above average premiums for well-below average service. There's no alignment between your local office and the 24/7 call centers. Representatives are constantly giving you bad information and no one takes accountability or ownership for their own mistakes. There's absolutely no sense of urgency when your house is experiencing an emergency. They partner with some of the worst vendors in the area who are equally incompetent. It's just all around a bad experience and you're better off elsewhere with representation that actually cares about your well being and experience; not a company who just pretends like they do.

Update 10/5: finally canceled with Am Fam today, the final straw was requesting to speak with the agent, Edward Reed, himself to share my concerns and frustrations, and being denied that access. Rep on the phone made zero effort to keep my business, they could care less. I switched to another agency and am saving about 2k annually between both home and auto.

I have had nothing but great experiences from three different members of the team at the Ed Reed branch of American Family Insurance. Very responsive in emails and returning calls. They saved me a lot of money and took the time to check all the variables that would impact the overall insurance principle. Very pleased with this branch.

If i could give this company a no stars I would. For starters we arw a military family from washington state. American family there was incredible so you can imagine our sheer disappointment with this company. Our auto withdrawal didnt go through the lady admitted to my husband it was a problem on thwir end. Then they turn around and charge us over 400 dollars and tack on 20 dollars a month. They claimed to send out emails informing us that the auto pay didnt go through. None of which was true.
