Overpriced funds. High fund expenses and 5% front-end loads. They take kickbacks from the fund companies to put you in the products they do. Just put your money in an index fund that has .03% in fees, not their expensive funds that cost 1-1.5%. They will also then want to sell your funds in a year and put you in something else, causing you to have to pay the 5% load again.
