I have been insured by national general through their company. I had autopay and assumed it was fine. I was happy with the rates until I had an issue for the first time.
I had a minor collision that caused minimal damage to my neighbor’s car. I contacted my insurer to report it, only to find that my policy had expired!
I called to find out what happened to my coverage and was told that they had forgotten to “auto” bill me. I guess the auto pay was not automatic. The mistake was theirs!
I wasn’t notified that the policy needed to be renewed and paid on my end.
Now I’m $700 out of pocket 😟
