It's always a great experience..(the tax service, not the criminal IRS part). I always feel welcome and appreciated.

I'd been filing my taxes & my kids for about 10 years, maybe more. Didn't have a problem with Kathy at first... not until she started thinking about retiring. I noticed her patience was shorter, couldn't inquire about anything bcuz she would get upset & wouldn't return calls. Then her daughter-in-law Marcie started working as the receptionist and had a very condescending & patronizing manner about her. I played nice with her as long as I got my filing done correctly. The passive aggressiveness continued for a few more years, but I believe Kathy was more overwhelmed & frustrated as a tax preparer and should have retired sooner! Now apparently I'm no longer welcomed as a client when they were the unprofessional ones, go figure.

**Moved on to another tax preparer who doesn't charge me soo much money and still provides accurate tax filing 🙂

The best place to do your taxes. I have been going to get my taxes done at Doud Financial for like 20 years. Very friendly and professional. Kathy is amazing she really takes care of her clients. The IRS sends you a letter. Kathy will be there to support you. So if you are looking for somewhere to get your taxes done or just don't think the person you are seeing is not up to your standards. Call Kathy I'm sure she can help you.

My husband and I had been going to this place for quite some time. We always paid our Bill, brought all necessary paperwork, always on time for our appointments. We never had any issues until last year. We were moving to another state and I had some questions for Kathy. I called and left several messages with her daughter in law, Marcie. I never got a call back over a two week period. I was told that Kathy only returns calls on certain days. Well it had been a few weeks so we decided to go to her house ( which she uses as a office during the week during business hours. Her Granddaughter said yes she was in and went to get her . The daughter in law came to the door and said that Kathy was not in, that she was driving her husband to the VA hospital for some appointment as we speak... she didn’t know that her father in law came up behind her and waved to me. She concocted this story.. but meanwhile the guy is standing there. We left, but I called and left a message. I did not know WHY these people were acting so unprofessional towards us? I didn’t know WHY Kathy would not return our calls? Why are they acting like this?
I did get a message on my phone a bit later from Kathy. A really long message naming about (5) different reasons WHY her family and her where acting this way.
she said that she gets upset and just has a hard time returning phone calls, she said that some of her clients were cause her stress... she mentioned that she was not sleeping so her family was trying to protect her.... for the past few weeks?
She said that she understands that we probably don’t trust her at this point and that she would feel the same way. That if there was anything we needed to ask.
well.. we were furious about what happened. Just sooo unprofessional.
So now jump to Feb2021. I call because o needs a copy of paperwork. I only wanted to speak/ ask Kathy and figured it would be no problem. Well her daughter in law first of all is very demeaning on the phone calling me sweetie , and isn’t a good listener when I explained that they need to cancel this appointment they made ( as IF we would go there). She still kept trying to get us to keep the appointment saying...she can still do your taxes on/ over the phone . I explained who I was ( which I guess she knew by the number).. and said in a rude reply. Oh I know sweeties.. I still have to do my job.
so left a message with this daughter in law , she said that Kathy had a client but she give her the message right away. No call. I called the next day and Kathy answered. I stated I needed copies of paperwork. She said .. and no joke.. rudely.. I gave you the copies .. I do Not have to do anything else. That was IT . This second rate person not only lied to me then try and cover it up.. was being RUDE and unprofessional AGAIN?!?! She said I do this why didn’t you ask Marvie ( the daughter in law who bald face lied to m and my husband a few months before ) . I told her. Don’t feel comfortable speaking to her because of last year. She proceeded to yell at me that she was having health issues and that she doesn’t need to listen to this and hung up on me! I would never recommend this place and in fact we will be speaking to some that we know go there to tell them what happened. I have NEVER EVER been treated so bad and unprofessional. I will be having all my returns audited because now it has raised a suspicion that there is something really bad there.
