Talk about collecting commission with 0 attention paid. Due to the lack of attention/communication, my home owners policy was not canceled and my mortgage was charged twice. This was after I reached out regarding a rate increase, asking to quote with different deductibles and got NO RESPONSE. Never heard from her once throughout the year term. Called back to cancel after hearing nothing, and was advised by customer service (Amfam) that the agent would be notified to cancel the policy as is their process. This was 2 weeks before the renewal. Just disgusted by this experience and she needs to hear this feedback. I like Amfam as a company and this is the worst agent I've had yet.

I was with Danette & Amfam for over 2 years with car and home coverage. When I found a better rate with better coverage(which was never even offered to me by Danette and her team), I switched to State Farm. That goes into effect 1/28/22. I told Danette this, so she cancelled my insurance as of 1/27 and then very snarkily told me that I'd just go without coverage for a day. What?! Why wouldn't you talk to me about that? Very unprofessional to leave ANYONE without coverage. I do not recommend this agency or AmFam to anyone, I will not. WHY would I want to without coverage for 1 day? Why wouldn't you be upfront? It is YOUR job as INSURANCE AGENT to completely inform me. Obviously I am not as versed in insurance as you. After cutting my coverage off early, she is still saying I owe $2.99. Seriously? You are trippin lady.

We left her office & AFI. Went with an independent broker none captive. They represent you not the company as a captive agent must do. The companies with the largest number of captive insurance agents include ....look it up. Many agents are going independent.
