We use them for are hoa. We have been told there busy and have better things to do. Also they sent me a check and three days later they canceled the check causing not only me in hundreds of fees bout also put of the needed repairs do to having wrong roof vents. Do not go here they will blow you off and bounce checks on you. Not to mention how rude the front desk people are. We are looking into a lawyer to stop them from doing business

We have been going to Carey Financial for almost 10 years. Last year we had some issues but this year will be our last last year here. The ladies at the desk are beyond rude. We had a death in the family this year and had to have estate taxes competed. They were not only rude about us asking questions as we never did taxes for a dead relative before but they went as far as to say “we don’t have time for this”. We ended up pulling our return for the estate after paying for 3 other returns because they just weren’t qualified to get it done correctly. It seems that they have them selves booked so tight that they have completely forgotten about customer service. I do not recommend.

My mom, step-dad, and myself have been going through Tom for years, with no issues. However, this tax year I decided to file using Turbotax. I filed as a dependent because I was not aware my mom could not claim me due to my age (24). When my mom went into Tom's office on February 21st he informed my mom and gave me a call saying he could get me a couple extra thousand dollars on my return. I told Tom I had already filed using Turbotax to which he said we would simply file a tax amendment. I was happy to hear the news, and while on the phone with Tom, I sent over a the needed documents. Tom told me he would take care of my return right away. Most tax returns usually take 20-30 days to be completed, so I waited a little over a month before I reached out to Tom. In early April, I tried reaching out to Tom and his office, I left multiple voicemails and never received a call back. Finally in mid April, Debbie assisted me and told me Tom has not got around to filing my return yet. I was a little annoyed, but Debbie was extremely kind, patient, and responsive. They filed my return in mid April and a little less than a month later, I recieved my completed return documents in the mail. I thought the process was over, and I waited to recieve a deposit in my account. Fast-forwad to early June and still no deposit in my account. I called Tom's office numerous times, left voice mails, got the run around from his assistants, was told Tom was not in the office, ect. About 2 weeks ago Tom calls me and said he had some bad news. He told me someone stole my identity and filed a tax return using my social in late Jan/early Feb. I was confused because when I sent Tom my paperwork, I had informed him I already filed using Turbotax. I told Tom that, that was me who filed then. He said "Oh, right. Don't worry I'll take care of this."
I was extremely annoyed and frustrated, but thought whatever they are finally taking care of it. Two weeks later, I get my tax documents in the mail from Tom's office. I opened the folder and they amended my 2018 tax return....... 2018, not 2019. I can't express how angry and frustrated I am with Tom and his associates. I have a strong feeling Tom completely forgot I already filed using Turbotax, did not do an amendment, filed it normally, and then accidentally amended my 2018 return. What really frustrates me is the amount of calls and voicemails I left and never heard back from anyone. It takes two seconds to pick a phone and call someone. All I wanted was an explanation, but I couldn't even get that. I understand they have bigger accounts, covid19 has made things harder to deal with, but come on. I paid my prep fee, the least they could do is properly assist me. It is now July 9th, 5 months after I submitted the needed documents to Tom, and nothing. The deadline is in 6 days and I have no idea if them amending my 2018 return is going to affect me when I amend the 2019 return. I wish I could give 0 stars, but at least they refunded me.

Unresponsive to tax letter! After filing taxes, I received a state tax letter & forwarded it to Carey. I called numerous times & emailed and no one ever got back to me. Won't use them again!
