They switched over to new app and website before the bugs were worked out. Complete mess. The website doesn't work correctly on Android tablet. I finally found a work around. Once you sign in, you move your tablet into landscape mode and it fixes the jumbled screen. It is not an improvement over old website. There were lots of different tabs on old website and new is very basic and not a very attractive format like old one. The app is also not a attractive format. It is very bland. I guess no one told the management of California Coast Credit Union: "If it ain't broken, don't fix it.". If it wasn't such a pain to switch to another credit union, because of an auto deposit that could take 2 months to switch over, I would quit them, just because they did such a bad job with new app and website, on both design and not working out the bugs before Launch.

I had to stop by and drop off a personal loan payment. Security was professionally nice. Wait was not bad. Clean Credit Union location. Everyone was extremely nice. I was greeted and helped by teller Edwin. He helped me with my payment transaction. Since this was my very first payment. He walked me through the steps to do my future payments. He also wrote everything down for me. I was blown away because he took the time to do that for me. He didn't have to. But he did. To insure I do it right. You don't see that time of customer service situations anymore. Please give Edwin kudos. He was professional and polite. And is an asset to this location! Please give kudos to the lady Security guard too!

Mobile banking is awful.

Came in to get temporary checks and to get an acct number from my daughters savings acct. The teller calls some number and prints out something about the acct being dormant. I didn’t have any more time to deal w the dormant acct and said I would have to come back for that. The branch manager butts in, trying to figure out what’s going on (there was no issue). I just simply told her I didn’t have time to fill out any form and would need to come back. She gave me so much attitude so I again repeat I had no time. She says in a snarky voice “it’s just verifying information” but AGAIN we just moved and literally didn’t have free time. Then says something about “well your funds are just going to get sent to the state and those checks won’t work”. At that point, I felt super disrespected w her tone of voice and choice of words. She wasn’t even clear w the situation. I’ve been banking w this bank for 20 yrs back when they were called something else. I am now closing all my accounts and taking my business to SDCCU thanks to this woman.

Dana Chase (funding services specialist) and Jamie Utz were fantastic, super professional, courteous, and very helpful. They helped me to obtain auto financing for a brand new car! Super thankful to them and the whole California Coast team that helped out! Overall, highly recommend: excellent customer service and great rates!!

I went to branch to cash my check, first of all teller said that check I had from pic a part was gonna need a hold because that company bounced checks with them before so my balance wouldn’t be available right away, which turned out to be a total lie, then I asked for a roll of quarters and cash, she gave me cash but no quarters, I get home realize I never got quarters, walk back up there, teller and manager watch video, see she never gave me quarters and gave me my roll of 10.00, the teller apologized and said sorry she mixed me up with another customer, so I go home, then I receive a call from manager asking me if I happen to find other roll in my purse to return it. Seriously of all the nerve, like I’m going to waste my time trying to jack them for ten dollars, unbelievable unprofessional and rude

The rating is in regards to their underwriting Dept in Finance. They have rude unprofessional phone operators that treat you as if your begging for their money. Never felt so degraded and unwelcome while applying for a car loan. They advertise these great low rates and even with my good credit, secure job and virtually no debt I was low balled and given higher rate of interest than advertised qualified me for a lower loan than I had applied for. Complete waste of my time especially because they have you wait 2 days before giving you an answer. Walk away from there Car dealership offer in El Cajon it’s a total scam!
