Called into Brian's office to apply for a new term policy. I had a current term policy with Thrivent that I needed to replace. Brian was professional and polite during the first part of the process. When I received the call to go through 30 minutes of medical questions that are being recorded and can be used to deny your claim I had issues with the agent asking for specific dates when certain conditions were first diagnosed, month and year. I have high cholesterol and told the representative that I have had this condition my whole life but was forced to make up a year and month of diagnosis. How can you expect someone to remember on the spot the month and year that a simple medical condition from years ago was first diagnosed. I asked if they could just get the information from my medical records and I was told that they would do that as well but they needed my verbal answer anyway. I gave them an estimated year and date and then was asked if I had been discharged by the doctor for that condition. I asked what that meant and the rep could not explain. I said I guess so because I am not going back for another physical for another year. We moved on to the next condition, again not knowing an exact month and year I did not feel comfortable answering the question in the event that it could be used to deny a claim so I told the representative to cancel the process.

I called and left a message for Brian to call me back so I could give him some feedback on process and he was extremely insulting and rude stating that he didn't want to hear about it and if I had an issue with the questions then that was basically my problem. I told him I was trying to give him feedback to maybe pass on to corporate and get guidance on how to even answer those questions. He basically said he didn't care and he had had enough of me and did not want my business, end of conversation, goodbye.

Totally unbelievable.
