We used Alexa CPA for our personal filing this year and we were extremely disappointed. So many great reviews, but every step of the way for us was negative and we will never recommend them. Took over three weeks for a response to book our review call, even though we requested three separate updates. Once the call with Alexa was scheduled, she did not even call us at the time and we had to call her office, which was a mess just to even get to her phone. Once the call with Alexa started, it was obvious she was unprepared, and we were horribly misquoted on our return numbers, which caused chaos and countless calls to our financial companies/advisors. Somehow, when we followed up with them to review the numbers again, they miraculously changed from what Alexa stated.

No follow through, unprepared, and overall horrible service. Do not use for personal filing/individual returns.

Would not recommend using Alexa CPA group for individual tax return services. I found it very difficult to get in touch with the team - at one point, they told me they would get back to me in 1-2 days and then ghosted me for weeks until I called their office multiple times requesting a response. This left me feeling really frustrated. Alexa seems like a really excellent accountant and is friendly but was late to each one of our calls, even up to 30 minutes late for one call. They finished my tax return eventually, but I won't be using their services again.

PULLED MONEY FROM MY CHECKING BUT NEVER SUBMITTED TO THE IRS! I got a suprise letter that my taxes were late and I owed a penalty even though Stephanie told me they were paid/funds were pulled!! Now nobody is returning my messages. Very poor with communication as the other reviews say. No showed calls we had set. Mixed communications from multiple team members regarding the deadlines. I educated Alexa via my financial advisor on what wasn’t a taxable event…this lowered my tax estimate by several thousand dollars from what this firm calculated I owed.

I had a really bad experience working with Alexa CPA, I don't usually post reviews but when it comes to money and finances, this feels pretty serious. I had countless issues working with the team for my (straightforward) individual tax return. Lack of communication, filed extension unnecessarily, got audited, owed money due to their error. Unprofessional behavior, missed meetings, late-night calls. Hiring a CPA was stressful, didn't save money, incurred late filing fees. Should've done it myself.
