I am doing an independent surrogacy journey & am using ArtRisk to make sure my husband & I & my surrogate & her family are protected. Every person I've been in contact with has been wonderful & kind. Virginia Hart took her personal time & called me very late from her cell phone because I'm unable to make phone calls during the work day & she could tell by a comment I made on Facebook that I was feeling very overwhelmed understanding all the different insurances. She spent about 1.5 hours on the phone with me & explained each plan & even made professional suggestions with my best interest in mind. From that moment on I have felt very supported. Lara has been my go-to person for all questions & then if she doesn't work in that particular area she will start an email thread & she always knows what's going on with my situation. She is always very kind, professional & patient. She never makes me feel like she's in a hurry & I'm so glad I chose ArtRisk to guide my husband & I through the insurance aspect of our surrogacy journey.

Reached out several times for help trying to find an appropriate insurance plan to help cover a surrogate pregnancy. The first representative who I spoke with couldn’t answer basic questions regarding the process and I was subsequently contacted by a more senior rep who was initially helpful and provided useful information regarding the process. After that conversation, my phone calls and emails were consistently not returned. After multiple attempts to reach out and start the actual process of finding a policy, while facing an eminent deadline, we gave up and found the appropriate insurance plans on our own. We wanted to work with ArtRisk and could have used help in this process and we were prepared to pay a premium for this service but I can’t recommend them based on my own disappointing personal experience.

I spoke to Virginia Hart at ART Risk Solutions and Insurance regarding my health insurance needs. Having just returned from the UK, after living there for 6 years, the transition back into healthcare in the US has been a complicated endeavor for me. I would recommend Virginia Hart in a second.

Virginia was a life saver in regards to getting coverage...Calling her was a game changer in the process to get health insurance. She has been incredibly helpful and kind throughout this process. Virginia kindly spent whatever time was necessary to explain every confusing detail. I never felt rushed when speaking to her, and she has been wonderful in considering my needs and my time. In my conversations with Virginia, I genuinely felt as though she had my best interest in mind when presenting health insurance plans and options.

I would highly recommend Virginia Hart to anyone needing help with health insurance, Covered California, and any other service she offers.

I signed up with Art Risk to implement and manage health insurance for our surrogate. They did not get her enrolled on time, the process was convoluted and time consuming, and the cost went up from the original quote. They contacted me and apologized for their mistakes and promised to make it right but since that call have ignored my repeated attempts to recoup the lost funds as promised. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because they did finally get us set up and have handled the claims reviews, but I am still waiting for a response after many attempts to reach them - incredibly unprofessional behavior from their senior leadership.

Update: After posting this review, they got in touch and worked with me to resolve which I appreciate, thus I’ve changed my rating to 3 stars.
