My real-estate agent set us up with this company. I figured they were the actually homeowner insurance provider since it was listed on our escrow paper work. We closed in the middle of April and still had nothing from this company in the beginning of June. We had some lady come out and started taking pictures of our home, not knowing why, was asking questions about the inside. She claimed to be a contractor for our insurance company, but had a different name from this company. I specified that isn't my insurance provider. So kicked her off the property. She then showed up about a week later, we were not home. Our neighbors seen her and told her to leave. She then tried getting into our backyard without consent. After making several calls, I found out this (Gama) is only an agent. They are responsible for letting me know that someone would be out, which they never did. I made this aware to them, I also made it aware to them that I have no one piece of paper work explaining the coverage I pay for. Again, another responsibility of theirs as stated by the actual carrier. Gama had never communicated with me, has never sent me our policy for the house. We kicked someone off our property trying to do her job but had no heads up someone would be showing up. I know they won't give you a time or actual day they'll be there but we should have been given a heads up that it will happen.
Gama is not very professional in what they do. Maybe once I get my policy and see exactly what I have I will decide to stay or switch my insurance provider and eliminate any agency such as this.
