I live in 2024, as these people at this bank live in 1924 and don’t answer the phone. I’ve called this bank 10 times in the last two days, along with the banks in Salida and no answer. All during business hours during the week. Imagine having to drive 45 minutes to get something done that could have been solved in a 3 minute phone call.

An attorney recommended this place but you'd have to be nuts to do business here! I filled out some paperwork online and followed up with an email to which there was no reply for 6 days! I placed a follow-up call on TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS only to have NO ONE answer the phone and my call went to VOICEMAIL during normal business hours! After leaving a voicemail they followed up via EMAIL (not phone) as if nothing had happened - this was literally a week after I had my initial contact to do something as simple as opening an account! I decided to go elsewhere at that point as this place has some serious issues!

I had the absolute worst experience trying to get a construction loan through high country bank, started my loan process and was told its taking around 6 weeks, 8 months later I still didn't have my loan. So I finally gave up and went somewhere else to get it.
Do not go here to get a loan!!!!
