Trying to get hold of Ryan is an exercise in patience. It will take two or three days of calling several times a day to get hold of anyone in the office. If you leave a voice mail expect at least two or three days to get a call back, if ever.

I called to give Ryan my new card information to set up auto pay. He never set up the auto pay, I missed two months payment and would have had my auto policy canceled after the third missed payment. I recieved zero communication fron Ryan, no email, mail or phone call to warn me of either the missed payments or the impending cancelation.
I only found the error on accident when I tried to get some paperwork from him and found his office closed down with no warning or forwarding information. His phone just rang and rang until it finally went to voice mail with a message to call the corporate office.

Farmers normally has great agents and I have been very happy with my past agents, I can not say the same for Ryan.

I've had this insurance company for many years. After the retirement of my original agent I have gone through 2 so far. Ryan Derry is my new agent and not even sure if he is a real person. I have tried and tried to contact him. I spoke with his receptionist (Carrie) and she was going to look into other things and call me back and never did. I called and left 2 messages and then called again a few days later and spoke with Carrie again. She didn't remember who I was and what I was needing which means she wasn't even trying to look into other options for me or call me back. I asked when Ryan was going to be in the office and she said he is in and out , but should in at 10 am the next day. Guess what no one answered the phone. I'm now looking for another insurance company because this new agent does not care about his customers.
Oh how I miss Bud.

Never ever go to Ryan Derry in Champaign Urbana IL. I was a 35 year Farmer's policy holder for 35 years. He is a new one after 6 changes. Never met him in person after numerous attempts. Stupid assistant 1960s looking kid in a torn sweat shirt and saggy jeans met me while eating McDonalds out of a bag. I switched the next day. What an unprofessional office. Good luck Ryan. You need it.

Ryan Derry is the best! Very responsive and always makes sure that I am covered. Whenever we have had to update insure or add policies he has always made the process seem effortless for me and my family. I highly recommend Ryan Derry.

Same as the previous reviewer. We had Bud and loved him, went through a few since and had the worst time when we needed to get ahold of Ryan. Never actually spoke to him. Thank goodness we switched but now I need a refund and we’ll see how long that takes...

Great guy with a great insurance company. Always responds quickly to my calls. He knows the insurance business very well as he’s been around it his entire life. Recommend.

This guy seems to know nothing about the insurance policies that Farmer’s has. It takes 5 or 6 emails to get a partial answer. He should consider another line of work.
