I had problems with my fafsa and they just directed me to the fafsa number and offered no help. She made me feel even more anxious than I already was too.

Not super quick on responding to emails, however the wait time on the phone wasn’t long and the person on the other end was very patient and helpful.

The first time I called the woman on the phone just kept telling me the same thing my email was telling me and then acting like I needed to fix the problem when I came to her for help on HOW to fix the problem, and then she said she would write down my info and get someone to look into my issue…. 2 months later no one had ever called me back so obviously no one looked into it. I called again and got the nicest kindest understanding person you could ever get. I feel like half the staff is angry at you for just having a question and not figuring things out on your own, and the other half actually want to help people. It’s a weird office. Of course the desk staff is not responsible for any issues going on in financial aid but they ARE (speaking as help desk staff myself) supposed to help you get to where you need to go FOR your problem 🥴🥴, but they don’t even tell you where to go for help. They just state their lines and kind of are like “oh well” and leaving you stranded and confused. Thank god for the other woman that picked up the phone. She was immensely helpful.

I wanna give negative star and this office is one of the worst in the university. the person on the front desk didn't know what she was saying but pretending that she knew. That wrong information made me have a nightmare for the entire day, making me doing something completely wrong.

They refused to sit down and actually discuss my financial aid. They just kept dismissing me while I stood in the lobby holding my laptop showing them my account. It wasn't until after more back and forth with the second person called over to the lobby did they realize there was, in fact, an issue with my financial aid. The exact thing I came to them with. After all that, they referred me to someone at a separate office (of course) that wouldn't be in until next week.

What is the point of the building if they just argue with you trying to get you to leave. Like I need help with financial aid lol where else would I go?

When you email them, they refuse to email you back. In the event that you’re lucky and they do email you back, they’re short and rude. Same thing over the phone. The rudeness is whatever, but not being able to get answers to questions is an issue. If you don’t like this kind of work or helping students, you should probably find a new job.

Trying to get help from these guys is as easy as putting all the toothpaste back in the tube.

It's not very easy to get ahold of anyone with answers, and harder yet to get answers that are correct and understandable.

If you're understaffed, or realize that the hold time for the phone is typically near an hour, for months on end, there's probably an alternate solution that could be used... We're a higher education institution, we could figure this out, right?
