Growing up I’ve always heard nightmare stories about insurance groups. I’ve only ever used Merit, for about 8 years. I’ve never gad a bad experience, the Merit team always made sure I was handled, were respectful, and if there was ever a delay they would be sure to tell me why and check-in every now and then to tell me they were still on it/provide updates. They’ve always taken a good amount of time to make sure I got the best coverage with the best price, but never have dragged their feet about getting me insured. I don’t have experience with other insurance groups, but I’ve never had a single complaint or issue with Merit.

I had a lot of claims this year. First my car was totaled in a head on car crash. Travelers was there for me. I received a call from John and Eileen from the Merit insurance group wanting to know if I was ok and if I had been contacted by the adjuster. Working with the Merit group and the Travelers adjustor my claim went through smoothly.
My car was not even 30 days old when it was pelted with hail damage. Again, the Merit group was there for me. Eileen contacted me weekly to see if my car was fixed and if it was to my satisfaction.
Then the tornado came through Crestwood and I had damage to my house.
Through all of this the Merit group has been there for me. Travelers sent me a check to cover my repairs. I did not have to argue with the adjuster to get the compensation I deserved. Everything went smoothly. I had peace of mind throughout the whole process knowing I had a great team working with me.
I cannot say enough nice things about John and his employees who work for him. I felt like they were my family taking care of me.

Been a customer for long time. John and Gina are very customer oriented. Always available to answer questions and try and save you a few dollars. Refered my son and nephew both were extremely happy as well. It's tough to deal with insurance companies and John walks you through it. I may not trust the insurance company but I know John is always looking out for me.

They are much more than an insurance company. The help with maintenance questions (like should I replace my roof?). When a problem comes up and I need to file an insurance claim, they REALLY answer my phone calls. The are very helpful and provide guidance when navigating thru the process. They, simply, are the best!
