I recently signed up for homeowners and auto insurance with Ayse, an insurance representative. Inwas assured that this would be a “family” organization and that I would be taken care if as family! That couldn’t be farther from the truth!
Upon completing the insurance deal over the phone, I called asking verification of the start date for my insurance which I had been assured would be November 12. I called AAA to cancel as of November 12th. They cancelled me. Then I learned that my coverage with Allstate would not begin until November 13th. Ayse told me to deal with this conflict on my own with AAA. I never heard from Ayse again - great family service! No?
Next day I received an Insurance Cancellation letter from Allstate that of course freaked me out. I emailed Ayse and heard back a couple of days later admonishing me that I should have read the fine print in the letter saying the letter did not apply to current customers. In other words, it was my fault and I should have read better. Again no apology!
I called corporate and basically received the same admonishments!
The bottom line is that the customers serve the big corporations. Family service is nothing more than a gimmick to entrap customers.
Please run as fast as you can from this greedy, self-serving and disrespectful insurance company.
Update: And now the plot thickens as the company now seeks retribution on me by claiming that the gap created in my changeover may invalidate my insurance coverage! No good deed will go unpunished! Brendan also told me that they will be looking for additional gaps to invalidate my policy!
Update: I have pent over 8 hours with AAA to secure letters of experience for continuous insurance over the years with them. I forwarded the letters to Brendan and Ayse with absolutely no response from them. So much for being in good hands! I am now dealing directly with corporate! Beyond imagination!
Beware of this bogus company as they have tons of tricks up their sleeves!
Collateral damage continues to accrue. My mortgage company recently sent me a letter saying there was a one day gap in my homeowners insurance due to my changeover to Allstate. I sent an image of the letter to Brendan asking for help. So far no response. I am working directly with corporate.
Beyond imagination!
