I had a horrific experience with Steve Lewit, SGL Financial. My husband and I purchased IRA annuities in 2011 for retirement income. Unfortunately, my husband passed away, and I found out that upon his death the income rider was terminated. As it turned out, Steve made a mistake when filling out our paperwork, but refused to take the responsibility. He started with apologies and ended up with lies and insults Not exactly a fiduciary, but a rather a cheap salesman with no conscience.

Steve, stop lying. You claim you offered 'better than before' solution. Send it for my review, and I will admit that such a solution was provided. Until then, keep you misinformation to yourself.

PS: Steve, I am a savvy investor, and luckily, my income can survive your screw up. That may not be the case for everybody, and I shared my experience as a cautionary tale for future customers. There are good, honest, and competent people out there, even among annuity brokers. You are just not one of them.

I cannot say enough good things about Steve and the entire SGL Financial team! Beyond their economic and financial knowledge and expertise (which are second to none), they are just very wonderful people: very honest, caring, helpful, insightful, friendly! We always look forward to our personal meetings with Steve; they are relaxing and informative. He explains things in a clear and understandable way with a touch of humor, which my wife is especially grateful of! Steve’s advice and guidance is spot on, we have never been disappointed or sorry for following. And, his workshops and market updates are very informative and enjoyable as well. I’ve made numerous decisions in my life and teaming up with Steve and SGL is one of the best. Our heartfelt thanks to Steve, Gabriel, Joe, Sarai and the entire SGL team!

My wife and I had 6 financial advisors over 15 years, all of which offered only their company’s products for investment. In 2013, on a whim and with some skepticism, we attended a Steve Lewit dinner/seminar. Until that seminar, we had never heard the term “fiduciary”, much less know its meaning. Steve’s presentation sounded interesting and we decided to make an appointment with him to go over our finances. When Steve asked us our priority, we answered monthly income for retirement. Steve and his team then put together a plan that met our retirement income wishes, utilizing products of a few different companies. So we decided to again change advisors and move our assets into Steve’s recommended portfolio. Now, 9-years later, we are very happy to state that those expectations have been exceeded, as our monthly retirement income is more than was planned. A financial advisor that is a fiduciary (like SGL) made all the difference for us. We currently live in a Florida retirement community and recently discussed how lucky we are to have no money worries at this point in our lives. Had it not been for Steve and SGL, we wouldn’t be in this position. And even though we live in Florida, SGL still handles our financial planning and investments, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
