I would definitely recommend getting a second or third opinion on your mortgage. After meeting with Priscilla Agüero I was led to believe that I couldn't get a mortgage or finance for a home and if I listen to this rushed opinion I would still be paying rent. I indeed bought my first home 2 months later by going with my bank.
I got the impression that they aren't very flexible and there was other little things I noticed, like charging you to run your credit. The process seem much smoother when I went with another lender and it didn't require me to accept a super high interest rate or wait another year or 2 like Pricilla had told me I would have to do.
