I cannot express enough how thankful I am to have rented from PMA. I was only there for a year, as I have just moved to Orlando, but my time with them was the best renting company I've dealt with in Southern Illinois.

In June/July, a very unfortunate event happened concerning my neighbor, and I was unable to stay in my apartment for a prolonged period of time. Bekki and her team took every measure to make sure I was doing well and accommodated for. I am truly thankful for their help during this very difficult time.

They are very timely with responses, well-organized, and professional in every aspect . Seriously, I have dealt with horrible management elsewhere and PMA is the best in the area!

Save your time and money & rent from one of the several other options in Carbondale. Management is very inconsistent. Depending on who you talk to, you will get a different answer & wont be given the opportunity to talk to Becky.

After the management agreeing to let me out of my lease upon the condition of finding a sublet as stated in my lease, and months of working hard to uphold my end of the deal, the management misrepresented to me that I’d be receiving my whole security deposit back because I cleaned the apartment spotless (better than it was when I moved in by far).

PMA has not suffered any lost rent, but still underhandedly kept my security deposit for theirself despite their misrepresentation to me.

Do not recommend due to the poor, inconsistent and selfish management.

I enjoyed my time living at PMA properties when I was in was Carbondale. They were always fair and understanding rental property. The only issue we ever had was loud neighbors and they rectified that quickly.

Never had an issue with the management company. Not sure if they even own the property or just manage it. But I can hear every word my neighbors say through the wall separating the units in the duplex. They are speaking at a regular volume and I can hear every single word. Constantly. It's maddening. I might as well have roomates. I can't stand it.

Very disappointing. I was shown an apartment and I let them know that I would pay my application fee a few days later. Basically, they took my application fee money knowing that they had already denied me. Then, once I called to check on the status of my application (two days in a row) I was told that I wasn’t approved. They do not communicate with you and they’ll leave you guessing and in the dark about things.

Do not rent from this company. The owner of our apartment is a slum Lord that fixes things with a bandaid as she does with all her properties.
