Do not let the false advertising with customers is that game five stars if you look they're all old these are horrible Bank 20 years ago it was a good bank Slowly by slowly taking care less about customers and they will nickel and dime you in any way possible. Do not be fooled take your money somewhere else!!!!

I just completed a loan through Bank Financial's commercial loan division. Working with Henry Tomecki was a pleasure from start to finish. He was timely, helped our partnership through every step of the deal, and worked hard to get a difficult deal approval through the Bank's loan committee. All my commercial deals are going through Bank Financial and Henry.

My mom passed away Dec 5, 2019. I went to BankFinancial in Chicago ridge on dec 12th. I had her will, death cert, and my info in hand as I am a joint holder of the checking and saving account with my mom. On December 16th I received email that the accounts were 32,000.00 in the hole. THEY WERE NOT. BankFinancial locked me out of the accounts I was a joint holder on. They also locked me out of my mom mortgage account which was in her name alone. I asked if one of the mortgage reps could contact me on dec 12 while I was there and was told by the banker that someone would be calling. I expressed clearly that I am keeping the house and will continue the mortgage payments. She verified the checking and savings were in my name alone at that point. I went to BankFinancial on December 17th to find out why I got the email and to figure out what was wrong. I knew there was over 20,000 in the accounts. After 3 weeks of back and forth with bank employees and being told that I can " call if I need money for Bills and they may be able to release some money" I clearly told them if I cant touch the money, they can not touch the money and that included removing the mortgage payment from "MY" account. Finally I was told they would lift the restrictions on the checking and savings which was a lie, because I electronically tried to pay Bill's for the home which the bank blocked from being paid. Again more lengthy phone conversations and the attorney I was talking to about this said they can not hold the money in joint accounts. Not one bill including the mortgage had ever been late. I was in the process of opening probate to get the documents needed for the mortgage and one bank employee even had the nerve to ask me how much life insurance my mom had! It was January before the checking and savings were finally opened up again. Now here we are in march. Over 1 week ago I received the letter of office documents from the court and took them to the bank right away. After 3 calls and 3 promises of "we'll call you back" they still will not give me access to the mortgage account even though I have the legal documents saying I am executor. The mortgage has continued to be paid this entire time, but they are clearly doing some dirty business and will not give me any info on the mortgage or tell me anything about how much is left.. which I knew almost exactly what the balance was before they locked it up.. I do not understand how they can do this. My mom was and myself have been long time bank customers and never ever had any negative account issues. I've contacted my attorney and I guess we'll see what happens. I dont know if they are even applying my mortgage payments to the loan.
