This is a TERRIBLE insurance company!!!! I had a flood resulting from the power outage in Houston Texas. This company is not paying claims promptly nor anywhere near the level necessary to restore the property to its prior condition. With my experience thus far I would give Pure insurance a D- rating. At least they showed up from out of state after 3 days of calling. In particular, the adjusters and consulting team were very argumentative with my contractor. They had an unprofessional attitude and argued over every cost that was necessary for a proper rebuild from a reputable general contractor. The adjusters wanted to interfere with the contractor’s order of operations and were trying to dictate elements of the service without a proper understanding of the structure even when assisted by a consultant. Their “consultant“ got several things wrong and missed several forms of damage. It seemed like his only form of “consulting“ was to try to screw the homeowner out of a high-quality repair and fight with the contractor. This company is marketed as an alternative to Chubb, I would STRONGLY caution any homeowner considering going to a “cheaper” version of Chubb, as Pure markets itself, to think twice. I know of several other homeowners in my area of West Houston having similar problems with this company Pure. improper and inadequate work scopes, unprofessional out-of-state staff, hiring out of state restoration contractors are among many problems. Nothing good has resulted from working with this awful insurance company. If you can afford Chubb insurance I would recommend them. I previously had Chubb insurance and unwisely switched to Pure because of its marketing as a cheaper alternative. I’ve had better luck with Farmer’s insurance, in the past, and they are not marketed as a high-end home insurance company. Stay away from this company. Give your hard-earned money to a better insurance company.
