I’m very disappointed in the health care system when it comes to taking care of patients with a mental illness. I have a family member who has been here since 2020 and she is yet to meet her psychiatrist in person. It started off as telehealth visits with the doctor and counselor. No video call but just a phone conversation. Ok, I understood that initially due to COVID. Then a year or so ago she was told she had to come into the office to conduct the visits, but the doctor is still on the computer. The security guard and receptionists are pleasant. However, there is not a physician in the office for her to have a face to face conversation with. It is absolutely insane! It’s been 4 years! The person who calls her to the back says hi, we go into a little room, sit in chairs, the person (she has never introduced herself so I can’t tell you her name) connects the doctor on the computer, and then scrolls on her phone during the less than 5 minute video. I will say Dr. Theuri is a very pleasant doctor but there is no real patient/doctor relationship established with her being on a computer. She doesn’t truly know the patient and the patient doesn’t know her or even trust her enough to share personal or concerning information. She only sees her on a computer. It is a useless visit to just be honest. The only reason she continues to go here in Prattville is because the psychiatrist in Montgomery doesn’t accept her insurance. I will honestly say I am not sure she will return for a follow up visit. She has a great PCP that she sees face to face and will be willing to refill her medication. It is absolutely heart breaking that this is what the mental health system has come to in this area.

Absolutely worthless... First appointment, I waited an hour before I was seen. Second appointment, I had to walk out. If you are switching doctors because yours retired, look elsewhere
They won't continue my medicines that have worked for over 20 years. So, save your money and go ANYWHERE but here..

They have ONE psychiatrist for the entire office in Prattville. She put me on medications for schizophrenia. I’m not schizophrenic, I had nothing but bad reactions to every single thing she prescribed within a 3 month period. When I had these reactions I had no way to contact her. I would call and have nurses email and call for me and never once heard back ever. When I addressed this problem she played it off very nonchalantly and told me to contact a nurse. Which I had. Several times.

I said my mental health is too important and in too much jeopardy to let the public mental health system fail me any longer. It sucks. Alabama and Medicaid suck, it’s not entirely their fault, but at the same time I had to get help so I sought out Southeast psychiatry in Montgomery. They are the CHEAPEST out of pocket you can pay for, for actual professional help! I can talk to my psychiatrist whenever I need her.
95 dollars for the first appointment, after you’re a patient it’s 75. It’s the best you’ll get without breaking the bank and having a total mental breakdown.

After my 4th psych ward visit this seems to be the best Psychiatrist I’ve met so far. She.. Dr. Thevri was very easy to talk to and quite friendly. I haven’t had my therapist meeting yet but am looking forward to these next steps in my life.

You know, psychiatrists already don't care about you. People like me who are mentally Screwed, there comes a time when we decide. We want to get help. Maybe it's Us thinking that maybe it's our family who won't leave us alone. But for regardless of whatever reason we do it, we decided to come here. This one's the worst

Its laughable how bad the program is. Appointments are always cancelled, the office staff couldn’t care less about you, incompetence runs rampant, turnover is constant and rude on the phone. Only thing that was decent was my doctor Miss Graham and she quit. The new doctor they gave me wouldn’t let me talk, refused to give me a referral cause she had no idea what is was or how it work. So unprofessional. If u hate people and your job then do something else and save the rest of us from having to deal with you.

If I could give a zero star review I would. If you want an incompetent doctor that will try and overdose you than this is the place for you. They over prescribed my 95 lb, 17 year old daughter and we had to call 911 because she was unresponsive. Dr. Holloway would not let us get a word in wise and said there was nothing wrong with the dosage or medication. Mind you he prescribe a 100mg trazodone for her which is one of the highest doses on the market. Steer clear of there and this unprofessional, incompetent doctor who should have his medical license revoked.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My mother hasn’t gotten her meds and it’s been 2 weeks. They don’t care about anyone but themselves.
