I have had a great experience with my SCORE mentor and with the process. The guidance I've received has been invaluable to getting my startup going. I have benefited from the mentoring in all areas - as a new entrepeneur I am on a steep learning curve and my mentors have been very insightul and great about helping me identify priorities. Even during COVID, we have continued our mentoring sessions via phone and zoom. I highly recommend utilizing SCORE services.

I was blown away when I learned about SCORE. I'd lived here in SD for 20 years and never imagined I had a network of highly successful people willing and excited about supporting my dream.

When you think about the American Dream, you think about entrepreneurship and real opportunity for small businesses. Until learning about SCORE San Diego I didn't really think I could pull off founding a company...and not failing.

I've worked with a couple mentors who were both excellent (for FREE!). I also took 3 courses that were staffed by equally knowledgeable subject matter experts for $25/course (a STEAL!). All interactions were extremely positive and impactful. They created a scaffolding that I could build my business upon.

If you are considering making the leap to entrepreneurship, know it won't be without a significant investment of time (more than you imagine), money and energy. But also know you're not alone and you CAN do it as long as you have good coaches in your corner and a will to succeed.

I went to office for help. The receptionist was totally unprofessional. She was busy on the phone when I came in, to which I said take your time. I told her that I was told on the phone that I have an appointment and when I checked my email, the appointment was for a different day. Possible mistake over the phone? She went and got someone from the back office to help, when the man came out and saw that there was no appointment he went back into his office. She proceeded to get back on her phone to continue her personal conversation over the phone. I expressed that I was there to gather information. She didn’t even care. A first experience is important for anything. Even if the business is non profit. I’m a disabled female vet and was hoping to connect with someone for at least for 2 minutes to get information until my appointment. I would give this place a zero star, but the option wasn’t there. I was able to grab a Small Business Resource Guide. It seems that I will be able to find more help on this guide than in the office. Score needs to educate their own personnel on customer service.

Attended a free small business workshop here. Parking is expensive, but the volunteers are experts in the field of business and are eager to share their knowledge. Great resource.

Loved the class I attended, however the class was about Social Media Marketing and the free wifi blocked most of the Social Media sites I wanted to go to.
