Coming off a successful deal run by Persient, I'm a confident another M&A advisory firm could not have pulled it off. From the deep understanding of our complex business to convey to potential acquirers, the immense amount of patience to answer each question we (me and my company) had fully and thoughtfully, the deep level of experience to strategize our approach, all the while, sharing insights, examples and stories backing up the "why" on every move. Leaving a review for such an important decision in ones life, such as, selling a company is critical. It shouldn't be taken lightly on who you chose as your (San Diego) investment banker when a monumental decision is at stake. Hiring Persient was the best decision I made. I was looking for an investment banker who was willing to take my hand and walk the road with me. I had never sold a company before so having Persient's support, patience, expertise and understanding through this process was a top priority for me. The entire team at Persient worked tirelessly with my team from start to finish. When we didn't understand something within the transaction they took the time to explain and walk us through the process. They spent hours upon hours getting to know our company and culture to find the best fit for us and of course, the right price. When you start a company from the ground up and you grow it for over 20+ years it truly becomes your "baby." There's a lot of emotion that goes into selling - from an emotional level, things pop up that you don't even realize will rear it's head. It's important to secure yourself with the right investment banker that understands all the emotions you feel when going through this process and how to walk you through it with care and understanding. I was always taught early on - if you ever sell your company, never sell it yourself. There are too many attachments and it's important to have that good cop, bad cop strategy that you might not otherwise be able to do when you take something on like this by yourself. There was so much I learned through this process and I am forever grateful I had Persient as part of our team. In the end, the sale ended up in my favor financially and the legacy of my company will continue on. Thank you Persient for being my banker, a friend and a mentor.
