I had a one hour meeting with Sarah, and it was well worth both the time and money. Sarah has an in-depth knowledge of financial planning and a great skill to explain the details. She provided me very valuable and personalized insight that I had not received with my previous financial planner. After we concluded the meeting, she sent detailed notes in addition to a simple "Action Plan" that I'm able to put into motion immediately. Lastly, I also appreciated that unlike many other Financial Planning companies, the pricing was very transparent and reasonable.

From the moment we contacted Sarah for financial guidance, we knew we were in good hands. Even before we began our three-session Comprehensive Financial Plan, we had a long conversation with Sarah on whether it was in fact a good idea to hire her. I have a better understanding of our finances than my partner. For me, Sarah was most helpful when she could extrapolate quick and accurate numbers. If X carried Y rate Z years, is that better than... yadda yadda. Sarah was always great about amortization schedules, debt management, all the number things. My partner, on the other hand, as someone who would admit is clueless to the numbers, would ask questions about risk: "Could I quit my job tomorrow? Can we afford to move? Is any of this crazy?" In retrospect, these two lines of questioning were asking Sarah to bend her brain to give each of us the kind of answers we were looking for. I wanted statistical evidence. My partner wanted emotional guidance. I bring all this up to illustrate how Sarah is a financial advisor with as much financial intelligence as she has emotional intelligence. She's a great listener and we are both extremely grateful for that.

What a breath of fresh air. I've long wanted to have a financial plan, but always stalled out when advisers required investment management (and related fees) as part of their services, or couldn't/wouldn't answer direct questions about acting as a fiduciary and commissions from products sold.
